Topic 2: Real Numbers and Exponents

In Topic 2: Real Numbers and Exponents, students will be:

~ writing repeating decimals as fractions.

~ identifying irrational numbers.

~ classifying numbers (natural, whole, integer, rational, irrational).

~ comparing and ordering real numbers.

~ using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of the hypotenuse or a leg of a right triangle (calculator allowed for this lesson).

~ using properties/rules of exponents to simplify expressions:
