I'm very excited to be starting my 29th year teaching, my 26th year teaching 6th grade math in Chapin. Time flies!  My family and I are all proud products of School District 5!  I attended Seven Oaks Elementary School, Irmo Middle School, and my husband and I both graduated from Irmo High School.  Both of our children are recent graduates of Chapin High School.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Clemson University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. Go TIGERS and Go GAMECOCKS!  I also have my Gifted and Talented Endorsement, my Read to Succeed Endorsement, and I am Middle Level Math certified.  I have been honored to be the 2019-2020 Chapin Intermediate School Teacher of the Year, the 2012-2013 Chapin Middle School Teacher of the Year, the 2000 South Carolina Conservation Teacher of the Year, and the 1999 Lexington County Conservation Teacher of the Year.  When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, being out on the lake, reading, and various craft projects.
