Titan Hill: Differentiation

Differentiation is when instruction is customized to match students’ readiness levels and enable all students to experience continuous learning. As teachers plan and prepare differentiated instruction, there are three instructional elements they can adjust to meet the needs of gifted learners:

  • Content—the knowledge and skills students need to master.

  • Process—the activities students use to master the content.

  • Product—the method students use to demonstrate learning.

This hub provides information and research-supported strategies to adapt or modify curriculum/instruction/assessments based on the needs of your talented and gifted learners.

Some instructional strategies that teachers may try with gifted students include the following. Please feel free to reach out to a TAG strategist if you would like help implementing any of these strategies.
