Third Grade

Third graders are currently working on their first STEM challenge, making a football field, football, 1 goal post, and a launcher or kicker for their football. They also started their unit on cryptid creatures, which is the study of "hidden" creatures, such as Bigfoot. Since many people claim to have seen these creatures, students will be analyzing evidence and eye witness accounts to decide for themselves if they think it is possible that some of these creatures could exist. Logic puzzles and research projects are also part of their Soar time.  They will first be practicing how to choose good sources for research and take good notes before they get started on their actual project.
