Fifth Grade

Fifth graders just finished their first STEM challenge, making a football field, football, 1 goal post, and a launcher or kicker. They also started their class unit, Mysterious Things. We discussed and introduced the difference between mysteries, strange phenomena, and enigmas. They are currently researching some common enigmas, such as the ship Mary Celeste, and they will share this information with the class. Logic puzzles and research projects are also part of their Soar time. They just finalized their research topic and will soon begin on that. They have also been practicing for quiz bowl!
