Fourth Grade

 Fourth graders had a great start to the year. They are currently working on their second STEAM challenge, making a Halloween house. They get points for various features of construction, such as doors/windows, fireplace, furniture, etc. They have also started their unit on science fiction. They learned the characteristics of the sci-fi genre, studied a little of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, which is known as the first sci-fi novel, and learned about a few other authors and works of sci-fi. Logic puzzles and research projects are also part of their Soar day.
