Fourth Grade

 Fourth graders are finishing up their first STEM challenge, making a football field, football, 1 goal post, and a launcher or kicker. They have also started their class unit on science fiction. They have learned some basic characteristics of science fiction and they have discussed the very first science fiction story known, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. They illustrated what Frankenstein's monster would have looked like according to excerpts from the original novel. Logic puzzles and research projects are also part of their Soar time. They are currently reviewing how to choose good sources for research and take good notes.
