As a Vacation Relief Teacher, you will step in to support classrooms when teachers are out sick, on vacation, or attending training. You may be primarily placed in one department (Infants–Twos or Preschool), but flexibility to assist across age groups is essential.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting daily classroom routines and schedules
Supervising and engaging children in meaningful activities
Feeding, diapering, toileting, and assisting with hygiene routines
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
Following established lesson plans and behavior guidance strategies
Communicating effectively with team members and families
Maintaining consistency in classroom expectations and procedures
Every day may look a little different. Strong communication, flexibility, and a positive attitude are key to success in this role.

Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to pass a fingerprint and background check through Utah Childcare Licensing
Obtain a valid Food Handler’s Permit
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire)
Available Monday through Friday
Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Physically able to stand, walk, and actively engage with children throughout the shift
Willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within the first year of employment (we provide full support and professional development)
Monday–Friday schedule
No nights or weekends
