Informed Decision Making
Thinking about making informed decisions about teaching and using technology have changed over the course of completing this coursework this semester. I believe that I am now more inclined to the idea of using more technology within my classroom for the benefits that come from implementing technology. I think that overall my philosophy still stands the same in the fact that I do believe that there is such a thing as too much technology within the classroom but with intentional planning technology can be a great asset to the classroom. I have learned many new skills over the courses that I have taken at Texas A&M Commerce over the course of working on my degree and I find that those all serve as insight into how I make informed decisions for teaching and using technology in my classroom. I am going to share some of those things that I have created and turned in for my coursework as my artifacts on my informed decision making.
Power Point on Cinematography:
Here is a Power Point that I had to create for a video class I took while working on my bachelors degree. This was one of the elective classes that I chose and it really made me look and think about films and all the aspects of creating a film. I never thought about the different types of shots, and ways to shoot, and how they put them together. All of this uses some sort of technology and I didn't even realize it. This was a fun assignment and so I chose it to share with you. This is shared from my work computer as that is where my assignment was saved but anyone with the link can view it.
Power Point on Measure and Graphing Changes in Motion:
Here is another Power Point I had to create when taking a science class while workin on my bachelors degree. Science is not my favorite subject and it is one that gives me a tad bit of a struggles. This assignments was used to help us understand the measuring and graphing of changes in motion. We had to use images to demonstrate push, pull, force, motion, friction, gravity, at rest, constant, and accelerating. We had to share the image with each one of those changes in motion and explain what the motion was. Then we had to share a distance-time graph with how to read and desrive the graphs. This task was a tad harder for me because I really wasn't great at using Power Point yet and like I said already science was not my favorite subject. I did learn a lot of different technology skills while creating this power point such as searching the web for pictures that fit each motion and designing my power point to fit the need of what I was trying to represent. This one is also shared from my work computer as that is where it was saved however anyone with the link should be able to view it.
