A big well done to all of Year 2 for fantastic work over the month of May!

Over the last week in maths Year 2 have been telling the time to the nearest 15 minutes and in 5 minute intervals. We have also been finding out about the artist Freda Kahlo have created a piece of work in her style.

Upcoming Learning...

Our new topic is: Bridges, Towers, Tunnels and Turrets

Maths: In maths we will be consolidating all our maths learning so far in Year 2 with a focus on explaining their reasoning.

English: In English our Power of Reading book will be Georges Marvellous Medicine. We will be creating our own marvellous medicine recipe and writing our own story based on a character who grows taller. We will also be writing a non chronological report linked to our humanities work on London landmarks.

Science: In science we will be continuing our work on plants.

Humanities: We will be learning about London Landmarks and have planned a visit to the Tower of London (Information to follow after the half term break). We will also be comparing London with Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka.

DT: In DT we will be exploring the different types of bridges leading to planning, making and evaluating our own bridges.
