We have been learning.....

Writing - We have continued with Beegu by Alexis Deacon. We began the week writing our own version of the story including our Alien from last week. We then looked at instructions and followed a set of instructions to make a rocket and then wrote our own instructions.

Reading - This week we have introduced Collins ebooks to our daily reading sessions. Everyone has had the opportunity to listen and read along to our guided reading books on their chromebook. Please have a look at home if you haven't yet had the chance.


Maths - Mass and weight this week. We looked at how many cubes items weighed using balancing scales. We then compared items using the language heavier and lighter, heaviest and lightest.


Science-This week we continued our new topic on seasonal change. We looked at deciduous and evergreen trees and how they are different.


PSHE-. We continued our new topic 'Changing Me’. We looked at what we looked like when we were babies and looked at how we have changed.


RE- We continued our unit on ‘What is important to Muslim Families?’ and learnt about the stories that Prophet Mohammed ( PBUH) told in The Qur’an.


DT- This week we designed our own space themed shoebox models, ready to make our own next week.


Geography This week we identified human and physical features of the world around us. We looked at our local area.


Computing We looked at the way in which we use the internet at home . We looked at ways of communicating and how to stay safe whilst on the internet


Outdoor PE focus for the term At the beginning of the week, we continued with our Sports day preparations, this week we focused on a bean bag relay and relay using a baton . We then really enjoyed taking part in all the activities at Sports day and having lots of fun.
