Amy Carlile

Assistant Director

of Education

Amy Carlile is the Assistant Director of Education at LEO Academy Trust. She works in collaboration with colleagues both inside and outside of the Trust in order to provide excellent professional learning opportunities for all. Amy is passionate about supporting schools to improve pedagogy and enjoys working alongside others at all stages of their careers to develop their practice. Amy has gained leadership experience as an English Leader, Phase Leader and a Deputy Headteacher at Cheam Fields Primary School. She is the Hub Manager of the Challenge Partners South West London and Surrey Hub. She is also a Specialist Leader of Education for English, Phonics and ITT and an Evidence Lead in Education with Greenshaw Research School. Amy also works in partnership with Harris Crystal Palace Teaching School Hub as an ECF and NPQ facilitator.

Emma Potter

Vice Principal

Emma is one of the Vice Principals of LEO Academy Trust currently based at Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy. She has been teaching for over fifteen years and has held a number of leadership positions during this time. Emma has led on Teaching and Learning for a number of years and supports teachers in improving their practice at both Cheam Park Farm and across the trust. She has a keen interest in how technology can enhance the learning for every pupil to ensure that all ‘keep up, rather than catch up’. Emma has a passion for maths - especially focusing on the enjoyment of maths for all pupils and the benefit of children seeing maths in the real world. Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching and learning and is constantly striving for excellence for all learners, regardless of ability. She has presented at various conferences, including Maths No Problem! and the BETT show as well as supporting LGFL in a wide range of pilots. Her personal highlight of her career is appearing as a Maths No Problem! character in one of the year four textbooks.

Natasha Dolling

Director of Maths

Natasha is a very passionate Primary maths educator with a wealth of experience across all Key Stages. She is currently a Director of Maths at LEO Academy Trust, working across multiple schools to teach and plan in every year group. Natasha gained a distinction in her MA in Mathematics Education, which focussed on the development of multiplicative thinking. She was involved in filming and writing content for the 'Power Maths' scheme, has visited Singapore and benefited from working with teachers from Shanghai on multiple exchanges. She has worked extensively with the National Centre for the Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics and is a trained Primary Mastery Specialist, PD Accredited Lead and most recently, a School Development Lead. Natasha is constantly learning about how to use technology to enhance and improve mathematics teaching, working with LGfL, Ed Tech hubs and speaking at BETT to share her insight. She is also a member of the Mathematical Association, helping her keep up to date with current research and trends in maths education to disseminate to all of the LEO Academy Schools.

Faye Gibney

Vice Principal

Faye is one of the Vice Principals of LEO Academy Trust currently based at Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy. Faye began her teaching career as an NQT at Cheam Park Farm Junior School in 2013. She gained leadership experience as an English Leader, Phase Leader and Vice Principal. Faye also joined Shawley Community Primary for two years as Deputy Head and Curriculum Leader, before joining the Central Team as a Trust Vice Principal. Faye also works in partnership with Harris Crystal Palace Teaching School Hub as an ECF facilitator and Induction tutor for Early Career Teachers across the Trust. Faye is passionate about developing Financial Literacy skills for all learners and helped develop a Financial Education Curriculum for the Trust. She appeared on ITV’s Martin Lewis Money Show with LEO pupils in 2021 to share the importance of starting financial education young!

Jane Greene

Director of Music

Jane is Director of Music for LEO Academy Trust. She has over 25 years experience of teaching music in primary schools across London and overseas. Her role sees her teaching music across the Trust as well as overseeing the extra curricular music provision. Jane is passionate about the opportunities that music can give a child and strives to secure high quality teaching and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils. Additionally, Jane sits on the advisory board for Sutton Music Education Hub.

Nicola Joseph

Outdoor Education Officer

Nicola is a dedicated Forest School Leader who possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in outdoor education. As the leader of the Forest School Team, she has successfully designed and implemented numerous engaging and enriching outdoor learning experiences for students of all ages.

Nicola's passion for nature, commitment and promoting environmental awareness has made her an integral member of LEO Academy Trust, where she also organises many residential trips. Providing unforgettable experiences for children and making memories that will last a lifetime.
