Graham Macaulay

Director of Strategic Partnerships

Graham is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the LEO Academy Trust, a Multi Academy Trust, serving over 5000 children in Surrey and South London. Graham is an experienced and well-respected teacher, senior leader and EdTech advocate leader, and during his time in education he has held a number of roles and supported schools and Trusts with a range of digital and innovation challenges. In addition to supporting schools with effective technology implementation, Computing curriculum support, Graham has also supported schools and colleges with 1:1 device implementation, website compliance, digital governance and procurement advice. Previously he has led the Trust’s support for EdTech through the Department for Education EdTech Demonstrator programme.


Graham is also an experienced speaker, having presented at a wide range of educational leadership conferences, seminars and workshops. He works alongside many global technology providers including Google and Adobe. He has also provided considerable support to digital tool providers including TextHelp, Mote, Nearpod and LGfL.

Cheryl Shirley

Director of Computing and Digital Skills

Cheryl Shirley works for the LEO Academy Trust as Director of Computing and Digital Skills, where she leads on the development of high quality computing lessons and digital skills. She supports teachers and leaders with understanding how technology can be used to enhance teaching and learning. Cheryl has worked in education for over ten years and has a wealth of experience within the sector, having held a number of leadership roles in South London Schools. She is a Google Certified Trainer and Coach and in 2022, was awarded a Pearson Silver teaching award for Digital Innovator of the year.
