Compassion for community cats ranges from caring awareness to taking action. Do you see community cats in your area? Want to get them fixed? Here are resources to help you!
T is for TRAP: use a humane trap to safely secure a community cat the day before their clinic day.
N is for NEUTER: Make a FREE appointment with Cat Friends Hawaii, OSPCA, or the Hawaiian Humane Society to get the cat neutered! The cat receives an EAR-NOTCH showing they have been neutered.
R is for RETURN or REHOME:
It is illegal to relocate a community cat elsewhere. Return it where you trapped it.
If it is a little kitten or a friendly, social cat, work with your local shelter and rescue groups to get the cat adopted.
M is for MANAGE: Help the cat not suffer and keep it from preying on birds...feed, manage, and care for it.
Spaying or neutering Free-Roaming or community cats and returning them to their outdoor homes is a humane and effective way to reduce the Free-Roaming cat population over time. Here is where you can access FREE and LOW-COST community services.
Connect with these groups and organizations to help cats get off the streets and into forever homes.
Adopt---Donʻt Shop! Adopt from shelters and rescuers to help our community cats!
