We have amazing, friendly, loving cats looking for a forever home.
A select few of our LJA campus cats have been vetted by our PPP team to ensure they are perfect felines to join your 'ohana. We partner with Poi Dogs & Pōpoki Rescue and Adoption organization, part of the PetSmart Charities Family, to ensure our cats are healthy, vaccinated, neutered, and have undergone a period of foster care to prepare them for rehoming. Interested parties will be interviewed, and a small rehoming fee applies. We take our time to ensure the fur friend will be a great fit for your family.

Spotlight on SUMO
Sumo appeared on the perimeter of LJA in January 2024. A Pono Pōpoki family who was feeding our campus cats saw him, snapped some pictures, and soon after that, we had him trapped and neutered. Since then, he has kept to his favorite hiding places just on the boundary of our campus and has shown us he was likely an abandoned animal struggling to survive. Grateful for the human help and craving the affection and safety he once knew, Sumo warms up quickly to his feeders. He often wants to be pet more than he wants to eat.

The following cats have all been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas, medically cleared by a veterinarian, are litterbox trained, and are ready for adoption through Poi Dogs & Pōpoki. A small adoption fee applies to cover these costs. They are loving, playful, and amazing animals looking for a family.

Silky, soft, funny, and independent, Tippy has a playful, spunky, and endearing personality. He is adorable. Tippy likes to interact! He gets along with everyone and everything; he grew up with other cats and dogs and adapts well when exposed to positive introductions. Tippy thrives where he feels safe and secure and can play with toys to express his personality. Show gentle love to him, talk to him; he will be a fabulous friend, snuggling beside you at night and keeping you giggling all day.
Rescue credit goes to Mrs. Manso and Ms. Witten for rescuing Tippy when he blew into the art room during the March 2023 wind storm! Tippy has finished his foster period and is ready for his fur-ever home!

The following cats all live on the LJA campus and are neutered and microchipped. Most likely, they are abandoned pets who heard the laughter of happy people at LJA and wandered to us, looking for food, safety, and love. These fabulous animals deserve the chance to get off the streets and into a loving and safe home.
Come meet them! Our fosters will work with you to create a plan for rehoming.

The Ginger 'Ohana
Mama Pumpkin was an emaciated teenager darting her little babies all around campus November 2022. Pono Pōpoki helped get them stabilized, fed, healthy, neutered, and microchipped. The adorable fluff-balls have made strong bonds with the LJA team who feed them. They would be so happy to join a family, get out of the forest, and into a loving home.
