Inaugurare

Tanja Kummerfeld

[i-nau-gu-rà-re]
Roll it from the tip of
your tongue. Like Greek yoghurt.
The best pasta you ever ate in
Naples, staring at
Vesuvio and
hearing his call from afar. The sirens
singing from the hot springs on Ischia. The
taxi boat picking you up wherever you
are.
Inaugurare qualcosa. Non ci penso mai.
Ad Ischia dove si mangia, si beve e si fischia.
1
The incredible blues of the Mar Tirreno. I will
be ready whenever you are—creating moments as
precious as pearls on a string. Embracing strangers, just
because you can.

1 the motto of the island of Ischia, in Italy
