Meara Plesh-Gill is a senior majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. She loves doing research because of the hands-on nature and unique opportunities to build new skills and further her knowledge. Her project examines the effects of tonotopic alterations in the chicken auditory system, and how these alterations affect the communication from the basilar papilla through the nVIII to nucleus magnocellularis. Outside of the lab, Meara loves dance, theatre, and spending time outdoors. She is president of the Scientific Journal Club at Lehigh, and plans to study Pathology in graduate school.
Nandini Yellamelli is currently a senior at Lehigh University majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience and minoring in Population Health. Her project in the lab investigates the role that cholinergic signalling might play in the development of the Calyx of Held using immunohistochemical methodologies. In addition to her work in the lab, she enjoys dancing in Leela, Lehigh's Indian Fusion Dance team and participating in student organizations like the LU Scientific Journal Club and the South Asian Student Association (SASA).
