Why They Matter
Letters of recommendation help colleges and scholarship committees learn about you beyond grades and test scores. They highlight your character, work ethic, leadership, and involvement.
Who to Ask
A teacher who knows you well (often a junior or senior year teacher)

When to Ask
Ask at least 3–4 weeks before the deadline
Earlier is always better so they have time to write a strong letter
