Maria Denton

Hello! My name is Maria Denton and I am the class of 2026 School Counselor. I was born and raised in Illinois. The military has brought me to this beautiful state. I am married and have two boys. We have two dogs and two cats. 

This is my 4th year as a school counselor prior to that I was a stay at home mom. I got my undergraduate degree at University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's in Science of Psychology. Furthering my education, holding a degree from University of North Pembroke, with a Masters in Education in Professional School Counseling.

As a school counselor, I love to work in small groups and individuals on various topics, and work with students on college/career readiness.  Our doors are always open!
