Prerequisite:  Early Childhood Careers I is recommended, or Child Development I or II

This is a senior level program designed for students who are considering the elementary or secondary teaching profession. This course provides a seamless pathway to study the profession of teaching through experience as a classroom practicum/cadet student. Students will be assigned with a teacher in the district. Students will complete reflection journals, prepare and present lessons, and work closely with students of their assigned supervising teacher. Students are required to demonstrate good moral character, work habits, responsibility, punctuality, and organizational skills. Students must have computer access to complete assignments online and are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from their practicum assignment.
