DISTRIBUTED LEARNING
Distributed Learning (DL) provides students in British Columbia with improved access, more choice, and flexibility to learn outside classroom schedules. Distributed Learning occurs when you are learning at a distance from your teacher, whether you are at home, at school or at another learning facility. Most of the courses taken in a British Columbia Secondary School can be taken through Distributed Learning. These courses are commonly referred to as distance courses or virtual courses. Distributed Learning is not Homeschooling, to learn about the difference between the two please go here.
Although most students at ATSS will not have the need to take a Distributed Learning Course, it may be advantageous on occasion. Please see one of us in Student Services if you have any questions about Distributed Learning or if you are considering taking a Distributed Learning Course.
