It is important that students and parents recognize how course and program choices relate to graduation, occupations, and post-secondary entrance requirements. Students need to plan their school year by selecting courses to fulfill the graduation requirements and prerequisites for their educational program.
Grades must be successfully completed BEFORE a student continues to the equivalent course at a higher grade level.
Requests to upgrade courses or repeat a failed course in the next semester must be applied for from your counsellor. Very few spaces are available for this request, in most cases you will need to repeat the course the following year or attend summer school to gain credit.
Course changes may be requested by seeing your Counsellor for a Course Change Request Form.
Courses changes must be approved and completed by the end of the second week of classes each semester.
There are no withdrawals from a course to avoid a failing mark or to achieve a spare. After the course change deadline students are committed to that course and will receive a grade.
