There are many ways to help you decide on a career choice. Many of these same tools are used by places of employment to assess applicants. Aptitude tests are characterized by structured systematic ways of evaluating how people perform on tasks or react to different situations. and are standardized methods of administration and scoring with the results quantified and compared with how others who have completed the same tests. Keep in mind that no one test can tell you with 100% accuracy what career to choose. However, they can help you:
Learn about yourself.
Identify promising careers, training programs, or University majors.
Make a good decision.

If you are in grade 11 or 12 you have an awesome opportunity to learn about law enforcement by taking part in the Abbotsford Junior Police Academy.
The Academy will take place in the spring during Spring Break.
Application process will be an application package, fitness test, and an interview. There will be a background check by APD.
Interested in a career in Fire Fighting? The Secondary Fire Academy is a great introduction to this rewarding career.
You will need a current resume.
Participation qualifies you for Work Experience 12A (WEX12A).
