CAREERS

If you are working you could begin an apprenticeship while in high school and earn high school credits through the Work in Trades Apprenticeship (WRK) program. Some of our ATSS students in the past have completed Work in Trades apprenticeships in trades such as Electrical, Plumbing, Hairstyling & Automotive.

How does it work?

You find employment in an apprenticeable trade with a supervisor who is willing to commit to your training. You register with the Industry Training Authority (ITA) and log your hours of work. You receive 4 credits towards graduation for every 120 hours of work you complete. You may get credit for WRK 11A, 11B, 12A and 12B.
