This session teaches students how to search effectively by refining their searches, using keywords and using Google Advanced Search.

Accessing and Exploring the online databases
This is an introductory session that shows students where the online databases are located, how to access them, and gives time for the students to explore within a database and to experiment with its features. We can tailor this to a topic relevant for your class.

Notetaking
Help students learn how to put research into their own words and avoid plagiarism. Teach students effective note taking skills with the Cornell Notes Method. Other note taking methods can be covered as well (outlining, mind map, etc.).

Creating Bibliographies using online tools
This session highlights the importance of academic honesty and shows how easy it is to use online tools such as mybib.com to create a bibliography. MLA, APA, or Chicago Manual of Style.
