PE 9 Health Affectors Research Assignment
Students learn research skills, research one health related topic, and create a final inforgraphic to demonstrate their learning.
SS 9 Information and Media Literacy Unit
Students learn the importance of evaluating information online through a series of lessons which include topics such as: AI, deep fakes, misinformation, disinformation, lateral reading, and so much more.
EN 9 -12 Novel Study Inquiry Research
Students learn research skills and select an inquiry topic related to their novel or play. Students create a final product to show their learning. Various options are possible such as infographic, podcast, essay, etc.
SS 9 Using a Chatbot for Writing Feedback
Students learn about the ethics of using AI to support their learning and gain practice using at chatbot to get feedback on a their writing in a social studies context.
EFP 11 Multi Modal Communication
Students learn about and practice with multimodal communication. Over several units students explore the components of multimodal texts and learn how to create both physical and digtal multimodal texts.
EN 11 Attention Economy Unit
Students learn about the Attention Economy through a a variety of provocation activities. The driving question is: how is our culture shaped by online communication. Some included topics are: art & free speech, extremism/polarization, how we view masculinity & femininity in modern society. Students create a final video product to demonstrate their learning about a topic of interest.
SJ 11/12 Research Skills
Students learn research skills such as evaluating information online using lateral reading, using an AI chat bot to refine inquiry and topic questions, note-taking, creating proper a proper bibliography, and how to use footnotes.
