FILM AND MEDIA ARTS (SP)

Our Lady of the Rockies Spanish Bilingual Program uses Spanish as the only language of instruction. Students who are currently enrolled in the grade 9 Spanish Bilingual Program may register in our high school program. Students wishing to enter the Spanish Bilingual Program for the first time at the grade 10, 11, or 12 level, must first take a language proficiency assessment exam. Please contact your counsellor for more information. Our Lady of the Rockies also offers courses to those students who want to learn Spanish. Please see the courses offered in the Introductory French and Spanish section.

Students who have completed a minimum of 25 credits in the Spanish Bilingual Program including the mandatory completion of SLA 30 will receive a Spanish Bilingual certificate and an ISA (International Spanish Academy) certificate upon graduation from grade 12. Students also have the opportunity to write the DELE exam and obtain an internationally recognized credential.

Spanish Language Arts (SLA) and Film and Media Arts are courses that are offered entirely in the Spanish language (25 credits are available in Spanish).
