Food Presentation (FOD3060) invites students to develop creativity and flair while learning the techniques of presenting food in tempting and artistic ways.
As usual in CTS courses, you will be concerned with developing your basic communication competencies as well as considering possible career pathways. Even if this is not a career choice for you, you can still enjoy your cooking products while taking this course!
Begin Food Presentation by reviewing the Topics and Subtopics found in the Menu bar to the left of this page. Or use the Next button found at the bottom of this page to follow the pages in order. If you have any questions, contact your teacher. Your teacher's email can be found in Brightspace course Food Presentation 3060. You will notice that all documents are available on the Student Resource page. This allows you to review anytime - and to pursue the materials in some other order than prescribed. Links to additional materials are embedded within this course.
Taking any CTS course helps to fulfill the requirements of an Alberta High School Diploma. Upon successful completion of Food Presentation, you earn one credit toward your high school diploma.
This course has several videos to help you with food safety, preparation techniques, and recipes. Questions are available for each video. You can have them visible while you view the video or you can print them for note-taking while you watch the video. They are not required assignments. Do not submit them.
If you are interested in credits for projects in Foods, contact your teacher. Projects can be done the same time as any Foods course. The projects can be completed at the same time as this Foods course. To receive credit for FOD PROJECT D or E, you can use Food Presentation and connect this with other Foods courses or other CTS courses!
