Bishop Carroll and supporting donors are delighted to provide academic financial assistance to our graduates.
These awards are referred to as ‘In house’ Scholarships.
Scholarship money will be awarded to all eligible graduating Bishop Carroll students in October upon proof of registration and proof of tuition payment at the postsecondary institution.
An eligible graduating student of Bishop Carroll has completed a minimum of three credits in Religious Studies for each year enrolled at the school.

Spirit of 76 Bursary: ($1000 x 2)

These awards acknowledge and appreciate the work ethic, effort, and motivation required to be a successful self-directed learner at Bishop Carroll.
Dr. Lakra Award: Presented to the student with the highest combined academic average for grade 11 based on the Alexander Rutherford Criteria. ($500)
Dennis Anderson Award: Presented to the student who provides evidence of volunteer participation in student lead school clubs such as Linkages, Spectrum, Jedi, Y4J, Service projects, Student Council etc. ($800)
Girgulis Family Scholarship: The successful candidate of this scholarship is a high-level student-athlete who has successfully balanced their academic performance with the training and competition demands of their chosen sport. ($1000)
Lorne Dowling Bursary: Acknowledging evidence of community involvement and display good Christian (Catholic) citizenship ($1000)
Renchko Family Scholarship: This award was created by the Renchko Family in memory of their mother, Jean Renchko. Jean Renchko always felt that once you had the proper education there was no limit to what you could do. The successful candidate is a recognized leader demonstrating academic excellence and has shown evidence of being deeply involved in the school community through clubs and sports. [Two awards granted: winner ($1000) and honorable recognition ($500)]

Hayley Wickenheiser Award: This award acknowledges multi-sport student athletes who are successful both in sport and academics. They represent what it means to be a student- athlete at Bishop Carroll High School, wearing the Cardinal on their jersey with class and integrity similarly to former Graduate Hayley Wickenheiser. (Award: 2 x $500 )

Rotary West District 5360 Service Award: This award is to support post-secondary education of any kind. This award is intended to acknowledge and appreciate the work ethic, effort, and motivation required to become engaged in your school and community in service to others.
Rotary is a network of friends, neighbors and community leaders who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. (Award: $2000)
