About Your Teacher

My name is Deedra Bochat and I am beyond thrilled to be part of the amazing Maple family. It is a honor to be teaching in the district where I received most of my education. In addition, it is a joy to live in the same community where I teach, with my husband, our daughter, and our dog Dexter. This is my fifth year teaching in Upper grade, and my tenth year in the district. Previously, I have taught Computers, been an intervention specialist, and taught First grade. I received my Teaching Credential and Masters through Cal Lutheran University.

It is such a honor to be teaching at Maple elementary. It is a great staff and community. This year, the upper grade team will work collaboratively in making this year the best experience for both you and your child. We are eager for the endless possibilities that lay ahead.

This year will be a year of growth and achievements for all students in upper grade. We will be learning the fundamentals of what it takes to become more responsible and independent learners and students. My class motto is to "own it!" Organization and communication are the keys to our success. I hope this is an exciting year for my students. I look forward to an exceptional year with our Mustangs!!!
