FFA is a dynamic and growing youth organization, nearly half a million student members strong, based in agricultural science education.
The Vista Ridge FFA chapter is dedicated to making a change in the lives of its members through agricultural education and FFA membership, by demonstrating good sportsmanship, promoting personal growth, building leadership skills to impact others, and encouraging each other to reach outside their comfort zone.
Beginning now, as a student in an agricultural science class, students will be eligible to become members of the Vista Ridge FFA. Becoming a member opens up limitless opportunities for personal, career, and academic growth and success. Each year, students from all over the nation compete in Leadership Development Events, Career Development Events, Conventions, Meetings, and Camps. These students have the opportunity to apply for millions of dollars in scholarships to pursue post-secondary degrees at colleges, universities, and trade schools across the nation.
Students involved in the FFA will also have the opportunity to exhibit livestock, Agri-Science Fair projects, and compete in Speaking Development Events. We challenge every student to become a member of the Vista Ridge FFA Chapter.
If you have any questions regarding agriculture classes, participation in Leadership Development, Career Development Teams, or Animal Projects, please feel free to contact us at Allison.marcuse@leanderisd.org, Haleigh.carlile@leanderisd.org, and Gary.adams@leanderisd.org.
Any student in grades 9-12 who is enrolled in an agriculture course at a public school is eligible to join FFA. Enroll in Principles of Ag for your freshman year!
