Parents and Guardians,

Ask your student for an invitation to join our Google Classroom for 2026-2027 as a Guardian to receive important classroom information. All you need to do is share your preferred email address with your student in order for them to send you an invitation.

What does this mean exactly? When guardians join a student’s Google Classroom, they receive regular, automatic email summaries. Guardians choose the frequency of the emails—daily or weekly—and can unsubscribe at any time.

Guardian email summaries include:

Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers

About The Director:

This is Hattie’s third year at Vandegrift High School. She is passionate about theatre education, fine arts, and fostering creativity with students on and off the stage. She holds a BFA in Theatre from Memphis University and worked professionally as a costume designer at Theatre Memphis, as well as in the South Florida area. She started teaching high school theatre in Greenbrier, TN, and continued producing theatre in Tipp City, Ohio, with her children’s theatre, HAM it up! Productions. Most recently, she worked as the Head Theatre Director at Stiles Middle School. She has worked for Leander ISD for 10 years.

I am looking forward to another amazing year!
