Complete steps 1-9 of the ACC Dual Credit Enrollment process
Did you complete step #9? The final step of the ACC Dual Credit Enrollment process is to meet with Mrs. Wallace. If you did not meet with Mrs. Wallace, please refer back to the enrollment steps and pick up where you left off.
Technically, ACC's deadline is the day before class starts. We do not recommend waiting this long! There are many steps that need to be completed prior to registration so in order to ensure you don't encounter any holdups along the way, take care of these steps sooner rather than later!
Returning ACC Dual Credit students must fill out the Registration Request form by the priority deadline in order to have their registration holds lifted prior to registration opening.
New ACC Dual Credit students must complete steps 1-9 of the ACC Dual Credit Enrollment process before being cleared to register.

Did you click the "Register" button in your My ACC account? You are not in an ACC class until you click "Register."
11th & 12th grade students can register for morning or afternoon classes @ Rouse:

Afternoon (aligns with 4th/8th pds) - 2:00pm-3:35pm
Yes. ACC does offer distance learning (asynchronous) classes, but they aren't for everyone. If you are a student who can manage time without face-to-face instruction, distance learning classes are an option.
ACC posts their course offerings by term, content area, and by location: austincc.edu/schedule. Make sure to check the Dual Credit course list for eligible courses.
Need help reading the course schedule? Check out this course schedule guide.
Students cannot have off periods in addition to ACC periods during the school day. All students are required to have at least 6 Rouse classes.
Technically, yes. These are college science classes so they are very challenging; We do not recommend taking ACC science courses required for high school graduation. Here are some things to consider before making that decision:
College readiness & eligibility
ACC science courses require college readiness in math; See TSI info on step #7 of the ACC Dual Credit Enrollment process
ACC may require prerequisite courses (Ex: ACC Chemistry 1105 & 1305 require two years of high school algebra)
These are college classes taken at a college campus and are not limited to high school dual credit students - you could potentially be the only high school student in a class full of adults
GPA & course requirements
ACC classes do not count toward Rouse GPA
ACC classes do count toward college GPA - these grades are permanent; ACC transcripts are required every time you apply to another college
Although taking an approved Dual Credit science course could satisfy a high school graduation requirement, it may not help toward your college degree plan
Course availability
Some ACC science classes require a lab component - this must be done in-person and cannot be completed through an online course
ACC science classes are not offered at every ACC campus; class times and locations may not be convenient for your Rouse schedule
ACC does not recognize Leander ISD language credit as fulfilling their prerequisite for an upper level course. For example:
ACC's Spanish sequence requires Spanish 1411 > Spanish 1412 > Spanish 2312.
ACC will not accept high school Spanish I credit in place of Spanish 1411.
ACC classes are not calculated in your Rouse GPA. ACC classes do count toward your college GPA. You are establishing a permanent college transcript with a college GPA.
ACC credits transfer to all in-state public colleges and many out of state and private colleges. You can view your prospective college's website for transfer equivalency information.
Follow these instructions: austincc.edu/students/order-an-acc-transcript
Yes! Dual Credit classes are actual college classes, taught by actual college professors. If you are a student who turns all your work in on time, reads all the course materials, asks questions, and communicates regularly, ACC classes could be a good fit for you.
Tuition is waived for most dual credit classes. If you have a balance due, it's most likely a First-Day textbook fee. You will need to pay the balance before the tution payment deadline. Failure to pay will result in being dropped from the class.
Not sure if you owe a balance? Log into your My ACC account > Registration & Payments > Pay for Classes > view the current term
If your balance is $0, no further actioni is required.
