7th/8th Grade Art
Welcome to 7th/8th Grade Art!
The focus of LISD Art classes is to set a foundation of skills that students will use to create art and navigate life. Students will create works of art using creative problem solving skills and critical thought, while learning technique, the language of design, art appreciation, and art history.
Course Information
-Semester long course that rotates out with your other chosen elective
-The CRMS Art Curriculum rotates year to year to accommodate students who want to take art multiple years. This means that students who take art in 6th, 7th & 8th grade will NOT repeat the same projects from year to year
-Inclusive environment where artists of all levels can experience successes
-Students should expect to make between 10-12 projects throughout the semester in a variety of mediums
-Fun, hands-on learning that focuses on self expression, acceptance, problem solving, and creative thinking!
Note About REMIND:
LISD automatically creates Remind accounts for classes. Since the majority of our artwork is going to be created during class, I rarely use this platform to communicate home.
