Examination for Acceleration allows students, who without direct instruction have already mastered all content and skills in a particular grade level or course, to advance to the next level or course. These exams are available at no cost to eligible students who test during the district’s testing periods.
Students are expected to complete each exam they have registered for, therefore we ask you to be available during the testing window you have selected. Once the final schedule has been set, a letter will be mailed home approximately 1 week prior to the testing date for each testing period. Note: The District does not receive reimbursement for tests not taken.
Tests will not be offered for the EOC tested courses: English I, Algebra 1, Biology, English II, US History

1st and 2nd grade students can only test in person and 3rd - 12th grade students can test in person or online from home utilizing the Proctorio safe exam portal provided by UT High School.
Parents will receive an email one week prior to the testing window to sign up for their preferred testing time, if testing in person. If testing online, they will receive instructions on how to use Proctorio. Please make sure the email entered in the registration form is current.
Results: All scores will be back after July 4th. Virtual students will see an unofficial score when they complete the exam, but UT High School reviews all virtual exam videos before giving the official score. Students must receive a score of 80 or higher on each exam they take in order to accelerate. Acceleration will happen for the 2021-2022 school year upon passing the exam.
Retesting: If a student would like to retest they should contact Ashlee Pope or Laura Union for the order form. They must take the exam after July 1st and scores must be received by the campus before the first day of school. The student/family is responsible for paying for any retest.
