Mrs. Sandy McCoy has been teaching since 1989, and has taught in the Lancaster City School district since 1996. She served as Director of Bands at North Baltimore Local Schools, and Director of Choirs at Licking Heights Middle and High Schools. Mrs. McCoy spent 10 years teaching the Thomas Ewing Bands, until she was reassigned to the LHS Choirs in 2006. Mrs. McCoy attended Miami University then Ohio University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Music Education. She earned her Masters of Music Education with a Kodaly emphasis from Capital University and again graduated Summa Cum Laude. Mrs. McCoy attended Fairfield Union High School where she participated in ensembles under the direction of Dr. Paul Young and Robert Trocchia.
Mr. Clarence McCoy directs the LHS Men's Ensemble, and assists with the other LHS Choirs. He has served as Director of Worship Arts at Lancaster First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Ohio since 1997. Mr. McCoy is also the director of Lancaster Community Chorus. He has directed this group since its founding in 2012. After majoring in music education at the University of Toledo and Ohio University, Mr. McCoy worked for several years in the music retail industry, and he has worked with a variety of school music programs, helping with bands and choirs of all ages. Mr. McCoy attended Amanda Clearcreek High School.
