By-Laws

The Purpose of the By-Laws is to clearly define the role and function of the Band Booster organization. Please view the various roles that need to be filled by dedicated parents of our Clinton Band students.

Standing Committees


  1. Classification - The Standing Committees of Band Boosters shall be the Pit Committee, Publicity Committee, Chaperone Committee, Band Camp/Hospitality Committee, Contest Committee, Membership Committee, and Fund-raising Committee.


  1. Eligibility - Any member of Band Boosters is eligible to serve on a committee.


  1. Appointment:

  1. Chairs of Standing Committees shall be appointed by the President with the approval of the Executive Committee.

  2. Committee members shall be appointed by the chair of that Committee. The Band Directors will be ex-officio members of all Committees.

  1. Duties:

  1. Pit Committee - This committee shall recruit and schedule volunteers to help with moving band equipment as needed.

  1. Publicity Committee - This committee shall prepare articles for newspapers regarding performances, results of contests and festivals, and advertise for fundraisers.

  2. Chaperone Committee - This committee shall recruit and schedule chaperones for each event, provide training for new and returning volunteers, make arrangements for refreshments as needed, update and be responsible for first aid supplies, and update students’ permission slips.

  3. Band Camp/Hospitality Committee - This committee shall arrange and coordinate meals during band camp as needed and arrange for food as needed for recognition events.

  4. Contest Committee - This committee shall coordinate all activities and planning related to any competition hosted by Clinton Bands.

  5. Membership Committee - This committee shall formulate and execute a membership campaign annually.

  6. Fundraising Committee - This committee shall coordinate all fund-raising activities and stay current on District 56 fundraising guidelines.
