Requirements for Participating in Dual Enrollment

# 1 3.0 GPA or higher

You must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to enroll in dual enrollment courses. If you are an athlete, please make sure you obtain 2 credits per semester on your AJHS transcript. For example, if you plan to only take USCL classes you must enroll in 2 dual enrollment classes that earn dual credit on both your AJHS transcript and USCL transcript.

§ Parent/guardian's driver license issue date

§ Current SC vehicle registration issue date and type (renewal or new) of registration

§ Most recent SC income tax file year

#3 AJHS School Designee Information

#4 USCL course syllabi

It is strongly encouraged that all students participating in dual enrollment classes keep copies (either paper or electronic) of all course syllabi for all courses taken though USCL.

#5 US History EOC must be taken at the conclusion of HIST 112

Students planning to take HIST 111 and HIST 112 MUST take the US History EOC at the conclusion of HIST 112, in order to receive the US History credit for their high school diploma. The score on the EOC will count 20% of the HIST 112 final grade on their high school transcript, however, the score will not affect the final grade on their USCL transcript.

#6 Online book purchases

Students taking USCL classes on the USCL campus (ASYNC or in-person) will be required to purchase an online book, unless they choose to opt-out of purchasing the link for the online book. There will be an automatic charge to their USCL account UNLESS the opt-out option is taken. Please contact Cindy Kirk at 803-313-7115 with any questions.
