With students spending so much time on the internet for school, LCPS is responsible for their safety. Therefore, we use Gaggle to identify & report any suspicious activity. It tracks anything students do when logged on to their LCPS Google or O365 account - which includes everything they do on a school Chromebook. It checks searches, documents, even comments in documents for signs of danger, self-harm, abuse, or any other suspicious activity. If something concerning is found, an alert is sent to the student's school administrators.
Gaggle also checks anything that is plugged into an LCPS device. That means if you plug your phone into a school computer or Chromebook, Gaggle will scan the phone (including images) for issues.
