DA Web Form

Certain Windows software titles are not available in the LANDESK Portal as LCPS does not have enough licenses to provide the software to all users. These titles are referred to as Limited License Software.

To simplify the delivery of these titles to devices which require them, there is a web form available which allows approved users to "target" software to specific devices. Once devices are targeted, they are added to software distribution policies which will deliver the software to the device.

1. Use the form to enter the device you wish to target for limited license software.

2. Once you’ve found the device needing software, click the “Edit” button and select the drop down menu for each software title needing to be installed on that device. Click “Update” when finished.

3. Once saved, devices targeted will be added to a delivery policy within 1 hour. After that 1 hour, the device will be in the “Pending” state in the policy and will install the software the next time a Policy Sync is done. Policy Sync runs automatically at a scheduled time on all machines, but can be kicked off via the console or by clicking the “Refresh” button in the LANDESK portal on the device.
