Keyboard:

Google Creatability is a website that has fun online experiences for students to connect with music. With the keyboard link above, you can create a melody by using the mouse pad OR you can use your body to create the music by setting up your camera to track a specific body part! There is also the ability to choose how many notes are displayed on the screen and what instrument is making the noise of the note. Please let us know if you have any questions! This experiment can work on a phone or tablet, but is best used on a computer.

Body Synth:

The body synth feature is another fun experiment that connects our bodies with music! Simply turn on your computer camera and tell it to track a specific body part (my favorite is the nose). Your student can create music by moving their body! Again you can change the instrument playing and also the chords that the instrument is playing. This experiment is not supported on the phone, just on the computer! We hope you have fun with it - I know that my K-2 friends do!

Feel free to check out the other experiments! I will post more specific instructions for them throughout the remainder of the school year! Also please check out the videos located on the other pages (K-2 Music at Home and 3-5 Music at Home)!

Google also offers these experiments for students to create music using a computer or tablet (some may also work on a phone). These experiments also help students visually understand how sound is created. Enjoy!
