AP Seminar
This foundational course provides students with opportunities to think critically and creatively, research, explore, pose solutions, develop arguments, collaborate, and communicate using various media. Students explore real-world issues through a variety of lenses and consider multiple points of view to develop deep understanding of complex issues as they make connections between these issues and their own lives. This elective course is available to students in grades 10-12 and could be taught in a variety of disciplines. This course is the prerequisite to AP Research.
AP Research
Pre-Requisite - AP Seminar
Students design, plan, and conduct a yearlong research-based investigation on a topic of individual interest. Through this inquiry and investigation, students demonstrate the ability to apply scholarly understanding to real-world problems and issues.
Students need to satisfactorily complete AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP courses to be a candidate for the AP Capstone Diploma.

The College Achievement & Multicultural Program for Unique Students (CAMPUS) is a program designed to remove barriers and/or meet the specific needs of first-generation college-bound students. CAMPUS seeks to provide support and encouragement to students who demonstrate the ability to achieve academic success and college admission. Students must commit to attending mandatory CAMPUS meetings and/or classes during the school day and CAMPUS activities throughout the year. Parents also are an integral part of CAMPUS and its success. Parents are encouraged to participate in CAMPUS initiatives and to support their students in the college search and application process.
