Over the last eight years the Lion Pride Run has raised more than $94,000 for scholarships, programs at LCHS, and community programs.

2024 Run

Fletcher is reliving Jack Jouett's ride and running by the light of a full moon from Cuckoo to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello in Charlottesville. This run will appeal to history buffs and runners alike since it is along a scenic 40-mile stretch throughout Central Virginia. Jack Jouett is referred to as the "Paul Revere of the South." Jouett rode on horseback to warn Thomas Jefferson the British were coming. Louisa County has an elementary school named after Jouett and Fletcher is excited to bring history to life.

Our Story

The Lion Pride Run is an annual run that benefits scholarships for students who have overcome adverse obstacles in their lives. These students embody everything that a runner must exhibit--passion, drive, commitment, hard work, persistence, and dedication--despite any obstacle that they face.

These students are our purpose and our passion!
