Louisa County High School English teacher Kate Fletcher has made headlines with the Lion Pride Run for the past ten years, even getting national attention from the likes of Runner’s World, SHAPE magazine, and Women’s Running. She has been a guest on podcasts that have been broadcast all over the country and even had a film crew from GoFundMe Studios fly out from California to make a documentary about her incredible feat and the students that she has inspired and helped along the way.
“Fletcher sees her primary duty as helping her students to find passion and resilience in their own lives.”
