Scheduling Information
All students in Middle School must earn a Fine Arts credit.
Courses that count as a Fine Arts credit include art, band, choir, dance, orchestra, and theater.
Conflicts between fine arts and other electives can usually be resolved by speaking with the director and teacher. Don't give up on Fine Arts just because you want to take multiple electives!
Skills in most Fine Arts classes build on the foundation starting in 6th grade. It's vital to stay involved throughout your middle school years.Â
Incoming 9th Grade Information
Scheduling Considerations
All students in High School must earn a Fine Arts credit.
Courses that count as a Fine Arts credit include art, band, choir, dance, orchestra, and theater.
Band and Dance will provide both a Fine Arts and Physical Education credit after two years of involvement.
Both Lubbock-Cooper High School and Liberty offer the full selection of Fine Arts classes, though some Liberty students may be bused to Lubbock-Cooper High School depending on class size.
Students are able to do Fine Arts alongside Athletics, CTE courses, and other electives. If there is a scheduling conflict, please speak with the activity sponsor or director and they can assist you.
