Scheduling Information
Students entering the Art program in middle school for the first time will enroll in Art I.
After completing the first year of Art, middle school students may take advanced classes such as Art 2 and Advanced Art.
Students entering the Art program in high school should enroll in Art I, even if you took Art I in middle school. The class designations reset to “I” in high school.
After completing the first year, high school students may take more advanced classes such as Painting, Drawing, and Ceramics.
Four consecutive years of Art will Arts and Humanities Endorsement requirement.
FAQ
I didn’t take Art I in 6th or 9th grade. Can I take it later?
Yes! Art I can be started at any time in middle or high school.
What supplies do I need to purchase for Art class?
A few drawing and coloring supplies will be needed. A full supply list will be given before school begins.
Can I be in athletics and Fine Arts?
Of course! Let your director or teacher know that you will participate in both activities and they will work with your coach to solve any scheduling conflicts.
