Summer 2026 Impact Makers Cohort

Applications are now open for the Summer 2026 Impact Makers Cohort through The Volunteer Center

Impact Makers – Building Skills for Life is a free 8-week summer program that helps students build leadership skills, explore community issues, and complete meaningful service-learning projects alongside their peers.

Program Details
Dates: Tuesdays, June 23 – August 11, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Location: Long Beach City College Liberal Arts Campus

In addition to weekly sessions, students will be matched with  a local nonprofit partner  to complete 2 hours of volunteer service each week.

Who Can Apply: Current high school students
Cost: Free

Students who complete the program receive a certificate documenting their 30–50+ service learning hours.
