If you have a teaching post or contract and you do not have access to a Scolago account, please send a request by e-mail to dispatchHR@lbpsb.qc.ca.
If you have a teaching post or contract and your account is set up for substitution, update your profile by deselecting "Substitute or candidate (I am a substitute)". When your contract is processed, your Scolago profile will be authorized to declare absences to secure a substitute. If you need to be absent in the interim, please ask your secretary to enter a request on your behalf.
The automated system for absences & replacements is available 24/7 online at https://scolago.com/en-US and via mobile app.
Remember that substitutes are paid for minutes/hours of instruction. Describe your absence well using the many optional fields available for this purpose, and, if necessary, customizing the start/end times of your request.
If you know you have a field trip or workshop coming up, enter your request as early as possible to minimize the risk of having an unfilled absence.
When you arrange a replacement with a substitute directly, follow the steps in the instruction document linked above to dispatch the request to them as soon as possible so that they do not appear available for other assignments.
If your teaching workload is less than 100% and you have an active substitution profile as well, you must maintain your own availability in the Home Calendar to reflect the days you are already teaching (and, therefore, not available to substitute). This will ensure that you do not appear as a possible substitute at those times - saving precious time when replacements are urgently needed at the last minute.
