Computing Sciences IT Team manages, supplies, and supports various workgroup printers, copiers, and plotters in the 50 Complex as well as B59 (aka Wang Hall).
The printers listed here are intended for general use and are not specific to division, department, or group.
The tables below provide info about device names, locations, model, and status.
For printers in Building 59, the device names include additional details such as floor (3 or 4), and wing north or south.
If a unit starts with “copy” then it is a Toshiba multi-function copier unit with scan capabilities
We have one Toshiba unit that supports FAX features, located at B59-3068K
The devices have static host-names, and do not use DHCP. Every printer has the domain name lbl.gov. We strongly recommend you connect to printers via host name, not via IP address.
There are no restrictions on printing from either Employee or Visitor wireless networks.
The printers in the Phone Booths in the North wing of the 4th are USB-only.
This ensures that people using the booths aren’t disrupted by print jobs.
This is a good solution if you need to print something confidential.

To report a problem, each printer has a QR Code you can scan that will generate a pre-filled email template to send to the team. For other assistance please send email to cshelp@lbl.gov with as much detail as possible.
