All middle schoolers had the opportunity to meet professionals in various fields. See our students with a licensed mental health counselor.

SchooLinks is a modern, college and career readiness platform to prepare students for what comes after graduation. For middle school students, SchooLinks helps them begin to discover their interests and strengths, and begin to explore colleges and careers that match those interests and strengths. SchooLinks at Long Beach Middle School is accessible in 6th-8th grades by students and their parents.
All of the SchooLinks features are designed with students in mind to help them become career, college, and life ready. SchooLinks features are incredibly user-friendly and content can be easily comprehended by middle school students.
Using SchooLinks, middle school students and their parents can:
Access career interest, strength and mindset surveys
Explore 2-year and 4-year colleges
Take virtual reality college campus tours
Explore traditional, fast-growing, and military career fields
Start creating digital portfolios / resumes

Students will login to SchooLinks via Class Link, then select SchooLinks logo. Students will automatically be logged in and will be able to view their homepage.
The O*NET Interest Profiler can help students find out what their interests are, how they relate to the world of work and allows students to see what careers they might want to explore.
The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a guide to many careers and helps students explore what certain careers do, the work environment, pay, how to acquire a certain career, job outlook, and similar occupations.
This career quiz uses the scientific Holland Code model to show students which jobs will suit their interests, talents, and aptitude. Get scores for 6 major job areas to guide your career planning.
RoadTrip Nation provides students the opportunity to relate their interests to a career that they would enjoy. From there, students can watch videos and hear stories from others in that specific career.
Through this website, students can learn more about specific careers based on certain categories. Students can also peruse the resource center which provides information on scholarships and financial aid, and additional career and education resources.
