Soil Pit

While the lowest layers of soil from our pit were likely either Champlain Sea or Laurentide recession deposits, it's possible that upper layers have been more disturbed by human activity. The O horizon was clearly slightly disturbed, as the area is open to recreation. The lack of E horizon also indicates disturbance in the top layer.
